First Draw Of Lots For EWS Housing Of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation In Decemberv

Pune PropertyThe first draw of lots to select beneficiaries of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) economically weaker section (EWS) housing plan will be held in December this year.
In the first phase, the civic body will construct 6,720 tenements on 55 acres in Sectors 17 and 19 in Chikhli, along Spine Road.
The construction of 588 tenements has already been completed, and work on 3,444 others is in various stages of progress. The civic body launched the housing scheme under the Jawaharlal Nehru national urban renewal mission in 2007 at a cost of Rs449.70 crore.
It plans to construct 13,250 tenements where three-room flats will be sold to beneficiaries at Rs3.76 lakh per unit. “The civic body has decided to conduct the first draw of lots in December,” PCMC commissioner Ashish Sharma said.
