Pimpri Chinchwad – Work On International Convention Centre

After the autocluster and science centre, the industrial town (of PCMC) will soon get an international convention centre. The Pimpri-Chinchwad New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA) will set up the facility in a 200-acre Moshi plot. Municipal commissioner Asheesh Sharma said the work would begin in six months. He said a presentation would be made before the state government on November 17.
The Centre and the state governments will contribute Rs 100 crore each for the project, which Sharma claimed would be the biggest convention centre in Asia. The centre will house an exhibition centre, meeting rooms, banquet halls, hotels, restuarants, restaurants, amphitheatre, library and recreational rooms.
